Tyson Foods on Berry Street Facility in Springdale, AR is hiring for a General Production Labor 1st Shift. Hours vary by line. Pay is $16.70 per hour.

The role requires following Safety Rules, lifting 40+ pounds in some positions, and working in damp, cold, or hot environments with PPE such as ear protection, hair net, and beard guard. Applicants should be able to stand 8–10 hours and move freely through work areas.

• Must be able to perform the duties of the position.
• Be willing to stand 8- 10 hours a day.
• Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard.
• Must be able to maneuver around freely as needed.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
• Must be willing to climb up and down steps/stairs to get to and from the work areas when needed.
• These positions are very fast paced. Long periods of standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing and reaching are required.
• These positions work in a cold, hot, wet and slippery environment. Positions rotate throughout the department.

Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening on any shift, such as day, evening. Applicants must be available to work overtime, and weekends as needed. These positions may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors.

Rehire Consideration:

• 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
