Job Summary

General labor is responsible for safely handling lumber products and verifies that material meets customer requirements and company expectations.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions
  • Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
  • Labels material based on type, size, and count specifications
  • Applies individual tags to material before or after treating/production
  • Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment
  • Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
  • Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
  • Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
  • Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
  • Records production on production sheets
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
  • Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
  • Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
Hourly/Salary Pay Range

$40,000 - $60,000 annually dependent on experience*. Pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living.

Bonus/Incentive Pay
  • For sales positions: The percentage of incentive compensation that may be earned varies based on the customer account classification and is calculated based on collected gross profit.
  • For salaried bonus positions: Annual performance bonus opportunity based on Company and specific business unit ROI and PBOP achievement criteria and individual job responsibility and performance.
  • For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
