Job summary

UFP Industries in Lafayette, CO is seeking a General Labor role focused on safely handling lumber products and verifying material meets customer requirements. You will move, stack, label, and prepare materials while following strict safety and quality guidelines.

The position offers a hands-on environment with opportunities to participate in CI and safety programs. Starting pay ranges from $18–$20 per hour, with standard benefits and the potential for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Labels material based on type, size, and count.
• Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor.
• Records production on production sheets.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Compensation & Benefit Information

Hourly/Salary Pay Range

$18-20 hourly dependent on experience*

• pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay (appropriate item below would be inserted based on the job)

For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
