Job summary

Closets by Design is seeking a General Laborer to join our growing team. The role involves supporting the shop with woodworking tasks, operating machinery and hand tools, and following installation techniques as part of daily production.

The position emphasizes safety, quality standards, and maintaining equipment. Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making is preferred, with a focus on 32mm systems and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Laborer to join our growing team. The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)

• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Some prior Woodworking experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
