Job summary

Closets by Design is seeking enthusiastic shop workers/general laborers in Palm City, FL. The role involves operating woodworking equipment to build custom closets and home organizing systems, following drawings and standards.

We welcome motivated individuals; prior woodworking is preferred, but training is provided. Regular daytime schedule Monday–Friday, with opportunities to grow in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking, cabinet making, or related manufacturing fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with woodworking equipment and hand tools.
• CNC operating experience is a plus (operator role, not programmer).

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Read and follow technical drawings and cut lists for daily jobs.
• Produce quality custom closets and home organizing systems.
• Follow established quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment per schedule.
• Assist in cabinet, drawer, and product assembly.
• Perform quality checks on finished products.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Shop Workers / General Laborers to join our growing team! Prior woodworking experience is preferred, but we will train motivated and reliable individuals who are ready to learn and grow in a rewarding, hands-on environment.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Produce quality custom closets, garages, and home organizing systems.
• Follow established quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Read and follow technical drawings and cut lists for daily jobs.
• Perform quality control checks on finished products.
• Assist in cabinet, drawer, and product assembly.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager or Supervisor.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in woodworking, cabinet making, or related manufacturing fields (32mm systems) a plus.
• Familiarity with woodworking equipment and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• CNC operating experience a plus (Note: this is an operator position, not a programming role).
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented, reliable, and service-focused attitude.
• Quality conscious, honest, and dependable.
