Closets by Design in Palm City, FL is seeking enthusiastic Shop Workers / General Laborers to join our manufacturing team. Prior woodworking experience is preferred, but we will train motivated individuals who are eager to learn in a hands-on environment.

You will operate woodworking machinery and hand tools, read and follow technical drawings and cut lists, assemble cabinets and product components, and uphold quality and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Understand product lines, machinery, and installation techniques.
• Produce quality custom closets, garages, and home organizing systems.
• Follow established quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to schedule.
• Read and follow technical drawings and cut lists for daily jobs.
• Perform quality checks on finished products.
• Assist in cabinet, drawer, and product assembly.
• Additional tasks as defined by Production Manager or Supervisor.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Shop Workers / General Laborers to join our growing team! Prior woodworking experience is preferred, but we will train motivated and reliable individuals who are ready to learn and grow in a rewarding, hands-on environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Produce quality custom closets, garages, and home organizing systems.
• Follow established quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Read and follow technical drawings and cut lists for daily jobs.
• Perform quality control checks on finished products.
• Assist in cabinet, drawer, and product assembly.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager or Supervisor.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in woodworking, cabinet making, or related manufacturing fields (32mm systems) a plus.
• Familiarity with woodworking equipment and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• CNC operating experience a plus (Note: this is an operator position, not a programming role).
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team-oriented, reliable, and service-focused attitude.
• Quality conscious, honest, and dependable.
