Job summary

Closets by Design is seeking a General Laborer to join a woodshop team in Minnesota. The role includes operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, understanding product lines, and adhering to quality and safety standards.

You will read cut lists, maintain shop equipment, and handle additional tasks as assigned by the Production Manager. The position runs Monday through Friday with no weekends or required overtime, and includes benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Woodworking/cabinet-making experience preferred.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Laborer to join our growing team. The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Some prior Woodworking experience is preferred but not required.
