Job summary

Closets by Design is seeking a General Laborer/Production Employee to join our shop team. You will operate woodworking machinery and hand tools, understand product lines and installation techniques, and maintain equipment while following quality and safety standards.

The role is Monday–Friday, with no weekends, and offers benefits including health, retirement, and paid time off. Franchised location; apply to the local franchise for consideration.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making preferred.
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Some prior woodworking experience is preferred but not required.

The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.

Job Requirements

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems)
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Some prior Woodworking experience is preferred but not required.
