Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is hiring a General Labor role to safely handle lumber products. You will verify materials meet customer requirements, move and stack lumber, label by type and size, and maintain organized work areas.

The position emphasizes basic math, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and production processes. A GED or high school diploma is preferred, with no strict experience required beyond manufacturing exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products to predetermined bundle sizes or customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count and apply tags before/after treating/production.
• Band, secure, and strap materials with corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and organized and assist with other tasks as needed.
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
