Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a general labor associate in Indiana to safely handle lumber products and verify material against customer requirements. You will move, stack, label, tag and secure materials, while maintaining accurate inventory and production records.

The role includes assisting in other areas and participating in safety and CI initiatives. The position requires at least 18 years old, with preferred manufacturing or lumber experience and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Experience in manufacturing or lumber is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products to predetermined bundle sizes and customer requirements.
• Label material with type, size and count.
• Apply tags before/after treating or production; use staple gun.
• Band, bundle and secure material with corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Ensure correct quantities; report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Maintain inventory and production records; keep area clean and organized.
• Assist other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety and CI programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
