Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a general laborer to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements. You will move, stack, label, and tag materials, secure bundles, and ensure accurate inventory is maintained while following company policies.

The role supports production and safety programs, with opportunities to assist in multiple areas as needed. Responsibilities include performing basic math, recording production, and maintaining a clean work area, with pay

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Apply tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Band, bundle and secure material with corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintain correct quantities and material strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Record production on production sheets and keep area clean and organized.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
