Job summary

Closets by Design NW New Jersey is seeking a General Laborer to join our shop team. You will operate woodworking machinery, assist with fabrication, and support installation preparation while following safety and quality standards.

You’ll work a Monday–Friday schedule with provided tools, training, and growth opportunities. Experience in woodworking is preferred but not required; a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred.
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Some prior woodworking experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated General Laborer to join our growing team. The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
• Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.
• Follow quality and safety standards.
• Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.
• Understand cut lists for daily jobs.
• Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.

Job Requirements
