Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a dynamic general foreperson to join our outdoor maintenance team in Ardmore, OK. The role involves supervising crews, organizing equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance on all jobs.

You will oversee hiring and training, investigate accidents, and maintain records. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL-A/B with Airbrake is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work enthusiasm and ability to perform physical outdoor tasks.
• EHAP/OSHA training and Davey First Aid/CPR training required on hire.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Line clearance or related tree work experience is a plus.
• Pesticide licenses may be required by state law.
• ISA/TCIA certifications are a plus.

Compensation Data

Compensation based on experience is: $27.00 - $30.00 hour.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Manage, direct and supervise crew leaders, field personnel and equipment as well as plan and execute assigned work by:
• Organizing and assigning crews and equipment to efficiently perform the required work
• Understand and follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules
• Maintain accurate records of required work
• Oversee the hiring and training of all Davey employees in territory
• Investigate accidents and promptly report to appropriate management
• Every day there’s something new to do!

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA training
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
