Job summary

Pepco in Illinois seeks a General Engineer to advance reliability engineering programs and translate approved strategies into executable scopes. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure safe, compliant delivery of electrical systems across projects.

You will develop studies, estimates and work plans for transmission and distribution, supporting operations, field, and maintenance teams and responding to field questions during commissioning and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE license with required experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
• 4-7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Broad knowledge of regulations, standards, codes and practices.
• Engineers in Training or advanced technical degree progressions.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks on complex projects with moderate financial impact.
• Coordinate cross‑functional execution across Operations, Field, Construction & Maintenance and other teams.
• Develop and maintain scopes of work, design documents and execution plans.
• Monitor progress and identify risks; provide corrective actions.
• Support implementation and resolve field issues during testing and commissioning.
