Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking an Engineer (Gas Operations Engineering) to lead design and project management for gas distribution facilities, focusing on safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness. You will contribute to plans for future expansions and oversee construction projects required for system growth and maintenance. The role requires a BS in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, an E.I.T.

or P.E. preferred, and experience with AutoCad, WinFlow, and Maximo.

• Strong analytical, mapping and drafting abilities; advanced computer skills.
• Able to be adaptable and flexible; capable of working independently or in a team.
• Subject to 24-hour emergency call-out.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain plans for future improvements and expansions of gas distribution systems.
• Prepare engineering designs, cost estimates, and project management for gas distribution projects.
• Plan, design, budget and manage gas construction projects for reliability and maintenance.
• Provide technical support to design and construction teams and other departments.
• Ensure Gas Code compliance and prepare bid packages for contractors.
