Job summary

Exelon is seeking an engineer to independently perform technical tasks across planning, design, construction, and maintenance of utility infrastructure including electric transmission and distribution systems. This role involves engineering studies, calculations, permitting, workflows, and performance evaluations to ensure safety and reliability.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Engineering and 2–4 years of experience with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 2-4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Regulatory knowledge and standard practices for the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments with independent discretion under guidance of an experienced engineer.
• Analyzes power flows, conducts complex tests, and interprets results.
• Directs engineering tasks on large projects and validates designs against standards.
• Evaluates effectiveness of technical systems and participates in team design reviews.
