Job summary

Lionsgate Academy in Shoreview, MN is seeking a General Education Teacher - Health (Long term substitute) to serve grades 7-12 with small class sizes and differentiated instruction in a supportive environment.

You will collaborate with support services and IEP teams, manage a dynamic classroom from 7:45am to 4:15pm, and contribute to a program designed for students on the autism spectrum. Salary ranges from $35k to $70k depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Minnesota Teaching License or ability to gain licensure.
• Ability to operate a computer using Google applications or equivalent necessary to complete required job tasks.
• Classroom teaching and teaming experience with special education and regular education service teams.
• Experience working with students on the Autism spectrum.

Responsibilities

WHAT THE HEALTH TEACHER DOES:

• Use creative techniques to teach students in grades 7-12 (class sizes 8-16) and differentiate lessons to achieve student success.
• Collaborate with Support Services and IEP and teaching teams to meet student accommodations and goals.
• Engage in effective classroom management by providing an inviting, exciting, innovative and challenging learning environment.
