Job summary

Lionsgate Academy in Shoreview, MN invites applicants for a Full Time Education Assistant role serving grades 7-12. You will provide student support in the classroom and in the community, helping students with autism or learning differences in a collaborative environment.

The position runs 8 hours per day (7:45a - 4:15p), nine months per year with summers off. A high school diploma is required; alternative credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to operate a computer and software to complete tasks.
• Preferred: 2-year degree/60 college credits or ParaPro exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide student support in the classroom and in the community.
• Collaborate with staff to meet student needs and goals.
• Support students with autism or learning differences.
• Assist in a middle/high school setting and supervise as needed.

• Valid driver's license/ability to transport students via school vehicle (must have 3 or less moving violations in the last three years and no DWI/DUI convictions within the past 5 years).
