Job summary

42North Dental in Torrington, CT, is seeking a General Dentist to lead the patient experience from exam to care delivery. In-office specialties include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics. The role offers flexible hours (part-time or full-time) with compensation up to 36% of collections.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA-accredited program
• Active dental license in the relevant state
• Vaccination against Hepatitis B
• Malpractice insurance coverage
• BLS/CPR certification current

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Maintain and update patient records
• Interpret x‑rays and diagnostic tests
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws
• Provide restorative and preventive care
• Perform surgical procedures in the oral cavity
• Maintain high quality and ethical standards
• Keep current with new developments and continuing education

Education

DMD or DDS degree

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
