Job summary

42 North Dental in Torrington, CT is seeking a General Dentist to manage the full patient experience from examination to delivery of care. In-office specialties include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics. Flexible 2–5 days/week, 8 AM–5 PM, with compensation up to 36% of collections.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• BLS or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records
• Review and interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone, and soft tissues of the oral cavity
• Maintain the highest standard of care and ethics
• Keep abreast of new developments and continuing education

Education

DDS or DMD degree (ADA CODA-accredited)

Current state dentistry license
