Job summary

42 North Dental is seeking a General Dentist for Torrington, CT, offering either part-time or full-time schedules (2-5 days per week, 8AM-5PM). Responsibilities cover the full patient experience from exam to treatment, with in-office specialties including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

Compensation is up to 36% of collections, with extensive benefits for full-time staff. Applicants should hold a DMD or DDS, a current state license, Hepatitis B vaccination

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-accredited program
• Licensed to practice dentistry in the relevant state
• Vaccination against Hepatitis B documented
• Proof of malpractice insurance
• BLS or CPR certification current and valid

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient's oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests
• Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care and ethics
• Keep abreast of new developments and continuing education

Education

DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the ADA CODA

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
