Job summary

42 North Dental in Torrington, CT is seeking a general dentist to manage the full patient experience from exam to treatment. In-office specialties include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics. Roles possible part-time or full-time (32 hours/week minimum).

Responsibilities include promoting oral health, diagnosing diseases, creating treatment plans, reviewing records, and coordinating care with various specialists. Excellent earning potential with a 36% compensation structure.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA-accredited program.
• Active dental license in the relevant state.
• Vaccination and insurance documentation required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain high standard of care and ethics.
• Stay current with new developments and continuing education.

Education

DMD or DDS degree

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
