Job summary

42 North Dental in Torrington, CT seeks a General Dentist for either part-time or full-time engagement. The role covers the complete patient experience from exam through treatment, with in-office specialties including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and orthodontics.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from an ADA CODA-recognized program.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Vaccination against Hepatitis B must be documented.
• Proof of malpractice insurance is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient’s oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review and update patients’ medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x‑rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues in the oral cavity.
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care and ethics.
• Keep up with new developments through continuing education.

Education

DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the ADA CODA

Current state license to practice dentistry

Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination

Proof of malpractice insurance

Current BLS or CPR certification
