Sage is seeking its first General Counsel to lead the legal function for a fast-growing healthcare technology company in New York. This hands-on role focuses on owning commercial contracting, building scalable templates, and guiding the business on healthcare regulatory and privacy matters.

The GC will partner with Sales, Engineering, and Product, advising the CEO and board while scaling the legal infrastructure as Sage expands into skilled nursing and new revenue streams.

Formación

• JD with NY bar admission and in-house counsel eligibility.
• 10+ years of legal experience in enterprise SaaS or technology agreements.
• Deep commercial contracting expertise and scalable processes.
• Healthcare privacy knowledge, HIPAA awareness.
• Ability to translate legal risks to business leaders.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment.

Responsabilidades

• Own commercial contracting end to end: SaaS, MSAs, BAAs, DPAs, hardware & installation agreements.
• Develop templates, playbooks, and approval processes to speed deals with minimal legal involvement.
• Advise CEO, leadership, and board on legal considerations and business implications.
• Identify and manage healthcare regulatory, privacy, and compliance risks; engage outside counsel when needed.
• Partner with Engineering on security, HIPAA commitments, and incident response.
• Advise Product/Engineering on resident data, AI, connected devices, and risk allocation.
• Support corporate governance, equity administration, financing readiness, IP, and employment matters.
• Select and manage outside counsel while balancing risk, cost, and business priorities.
