Virta Health, a health tech company focused on reversing metabolic disease, seeks a forward-thinking General Counsel to drive strategic legal leadership. This role balances rigorous regulatory oversight with an commercial mindset, and is geared toward IPO readiness and AI-enabled legal transformation.

The GC will partner with the C-suite, manage a growing team, and build scalable processes to support rapid company growth while navigating healthcare compliance and enterprise contracting

Qualifications

• Must have significant legal leadership experience in a high-growth tech or healthcare company.
• Experience guiding IPO readiness at a public company or through an IPO process.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, Medicare Advantage, telemedicine laws is preferred.
• Strong business partner mindset and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead Virta’s Legal team with clear priorities and operating rhythms.
• Advise the executive team and Board on legal, regulatory, governance, and business matters.
• Manage corporate governance, financing support, strategic transactions, litigation, and employment matters.
• Oversee healthcare regulatory and compliance strategy in a dynamic landscape.
• Prepare the organization for future public company requirements including governance and disclosure.
• Oversee complex commercial contracting with enterprise customers and partners.
• Architect durable AI-enabled legal tools and scalable processes.
• Manage outside counsel and plan future in-house growth.
