Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care is seeking a General Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair and service a broad range of vehicle systems in our Pennsauken center. You will identify performance issues, remove and reinstall transmissions when needed, and support teammates in technical tasks.

You must have at least 3 years of experience, own professional tools, and a solid background in mechanical/electrical diagnostics. A valid license and safe shop practices are required for daily work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a General Automotive Technician.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Own professional grade tools to service general repairs.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

As a General Automotive Technician you will be called upon to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and for quickly identifying the cause of performance problems.

Position Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working as a General Automotive Technician
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need
• Experience troubleshooting and conducting both mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing
