Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. is seeking a General Automotive/R&R Technician to diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicle systems and to quickly identify performance problems. You will remove and reinstall transmissions, assist other technicians, and clearly explain issues to service writers.

Ongoing training and a collaborative team environment are offered. We value 3+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, and your own professional tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a General Automotive Technician.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need.
• Experience troubleshooting and conducting mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

As a General Automotive/R&R Technician you will be called upon to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and to quickly identify the cause of performance problems.

Position Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working as a General Automotive Technician
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need
• Experience troubleshooting and conducting both mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing
