Job Summary Mid-level position for a high-energy person who has 1-5 years of experience working in an automotive repair environment, shows proficiency in at least one under-car specialty, and has ambition to increase their technical and management skills.
Responsibilities
Works in a team environment to ensure smooth shop operation but primarily works independently inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing customer vehicles.
The duties and responsibilities of this position also include ongoing training to increase skill level, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and housekeeping.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise: At least 1 year of hands-on experience performing basic automotive maintenance and repair tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
Knowledge of Automotive Systems: Solid understanding of vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, with the ability to perform routine diagnostic checks.
Proficiency with Tools: Experience using standard automotive tools and equipment, such as diagnostic scanners, wrenches, and lifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in performing inspections and repairs, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and meets safety requirements.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members, explaining repairs and services in a clear and professional manner while providing excellent customer service.
