Job Summary
Mid-level position for a high-energy person who has 1-5 years of experience working in an automotive repair environment, shows proficiency in at least one under-car specialty, and has ambition to increase their technical and management skills.
Responsibilities
- Works in a team environment to ensure smooth shop operation but primarily works independently inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing customer vehicles.
- The duties and responsibilities of this position also include ongoing training to increase skill level, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and housekeeping.
Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: At least 6 MONTHSof hands-on experience performing basic automotive maintenance and repair tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Knowledge of Automotive Systems: Solid understanding of vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, with the ability to perform routine diagnostic checks.
- Proficiency with Tools: Experience using standard automotive tools and equipment, such as diagnostic scanners, wrenches, and lifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in performing inspections and repairs, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and meets safety requirements.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members, explaining repairs and services in a clear and professional manner while providing excellent customer service.
