Job summary

Coppin State University is seeking a General Assistant - Events Set-Up Specialist to coordinate set-up, breakdown, and events logistics for internal and external clients. The role reports to the Director of Business Services and requires lifting capacity, weekend hours, and reliable execution of tasks.

Responsibilities include moving and arranging event equipment, supporting inventory and maintenance, and operating utility vehicles to transport items between locations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and write with clear communication.
  • Ability to understand follow oral and written instructions.

  • Update reports and request forms, submit paperwork on time, and submit work orders for items in disrepair.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Conditions Of Employment
  • Candidates selected for employment may be subject to medical inquiries and/or medical examinations to determine ability to perform the job. Valid Maryland Non-commercial Class C or Commercial Class B or equivalent driver's license may be required. If required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License, employees will be subjected to drug and alcohol education and testing as required under Federal Highway Administration and the State of Maryland regulations.
  • Position will be required to work non-traditional hours, including weekends.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
