Job summary

Brunswick is seeking a General Assembly Operator to train newly hired and cross-trained employees, set up cells, and lead teams in the Pedestals, Assembly and Bench departments. You’ll ensure 5S practices, safety, and ISO compliance while driving production readiness.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, strong communication with operators and other departments, and a culture of accountability and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Meet qualifications for General Assembly Operator.
• Knowledgeable in all product families within respective department.
• Dependable with good attendance.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Train newly hired, temporary, and crosstraining employees in proper manufacturing techniques.
• Understand and train employees on floor layout (5S).
• Reinforce safety rules and guidelines.
• Record labor and explain production rates.
• Work with Operators and Production Pickers to ensure cells are stocked to complete production orders.
• Set up functions in all product families, including 1st piece when required.
• Assist Operators who are having problems and call in outside help when needed.
• Understand ISO requirements and our Quality Management System.
• Communicate company metrics.
