Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a General Agent Growth Manager to drive growth in the 2-50 space by maximizing the General Agent distribution channel. The role concentrates on GA relationships across in-state and out-of-state markets, with a strong emphasis on education, contract negotiations, and sales accountability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven successful customer relationships experience in a complex sales environment (health care industry preferred)
• Insurance license or willingness to obtain required license within 30 days of hire
• Driver's license and access to reliable transportation
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% +/- depending on business need
• Reside in commuting distance to Philadelphia, PA or Newark, NJ

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage a list of General Agencies to educate, train, and support GA partners to drive new business growth and persistency.
• Oversee GA relationships in a market; build relationships, drive GA-specific sales initiatives, and meet sales targets.
• Lead contract negotiations with internal national GA contacts, SBS, and health plans when needed.
• Educate GA partners on portfolio changes and medical/specialty product offerings.
• Ensure GA technology solutions are used to drive growth and maintain CRM activity.
