Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Gene Therapy Account Manager (GTAM) to support the SCD and TDT Hematology business. This role covers the Southeast territory (FL, GA, AL) and focuses on account management and access/reimbursement to enable safe Casgevy delivery.

Strong collaboration with cross-functional partners is essential to remove barriers and ensure patient access. The candidate will maintain deep clinical hematology knowledge, engage Key Thought Leaders, and drive account

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 8 years in key/account management or sales management.
• Experience in biotech, cell/gene therapy or hematology settings preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and payer/billing basics is valued.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for ATCs and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Drive patient access, reimbursement and operational readiness for Casgevy.
• Develop and execute account engagement strategies and track KPIs.
• Educate stakeholders on product label, payer implications and access pathways.
• Collaborate across sites to ensure timely access from manufacturing to patient support.
• Support field team planning and communicate market trends and opportunities.
