Job summary

IgniteTech is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design and execute AI-augmented test strategies. You will build robust Selenium-based automation frameworks and embed GenAI tools into the QA workflow to accelerate test creation and coverage across web applications.

In this remote-first role, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with product and engineering, and drive data-driven quality decisions while ensuring reliable regression suites and scalable CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional QA experience with at least 3 years in test automation.
• Hands-on proficiency with Selenium WebDriver and cross-browser testing.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for scripting and framework development.
• Demonstrated experience using GenAI tools to enhance engineering workflows.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD platforms: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end test automation strategy for assigned product areas, including framework selection, test design, and execution.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Selenium-based test suites in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Integrate GenAI tools into the QA workflow to generate test cases, analyze logs, and accelerate exploratory testing.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipeline test stages across Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and production incidents; deliver data-backed recommendations to reduce defect escape rate.
• Define and report quality KPIs with clear dashboards.
• Conduct code reviews of test automation pull requests and enforce coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to define acceptance criteria and testability requirements before development begins.
