Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build a transformative greenfield GenAI initiative from the ground up. This high-visibility role focuses on architecting an AI-native platform that serves thousands of users across regions and supports millions of sellers worldwide.

You'll work at the intersection of generative AI, agentic systems, and distributed architecture, delivering intelligent capabilities that drive measurable business impact at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of design/architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 3+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Build a unified intelligent workbench that consolidates fragmented systems into an AI-powered platform.
• Design and implement AI-native backend services integrating enterprise CRM systems with operational platforms using AWS cloud platform and its products.
• Build intelligent automation capabilities across core business modules including AI assistants, communication management, contact management, and workflow orchestration.
• Develop agentic workflows that eliminate manual tasks and enable users to focus on strategic relationship building.
• Architect highly scalable solutions serving thousands of users across multiple regions with specialized requirements.
• Apply AI-Driven Lifecycle (AIDLC) methodology to achieve 10x productivity improvements across the entire delivery lifecycle.
• Partner with Applied Science teams to incorporate generative AI capabilities.
• Deliver features with 25%+ productivity gains through properly groomed requirements and AI-first thinking.
• Own systems architecture end to end and influence the direction of technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world
