Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build a transformative greenfield GenAI initiative from the ground up. This high-visibility role focuses on architecting an AI-native platform that serves thousands of users across regions and supports millions of sellers worldwide.

You'll work at the intersection of generative AI, agentic systems, and distributed architecture, delivering intelligent capabilities that drive measurable business impact at scale.

Competenze

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of design/architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 3+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 3+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Key job responsibilities

You will be a high-performing software engineer building a unified intelligent workbench that consolidates fragmented systems into an AI-powered platform. This role offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of agentic AI and distributed systems, building transformative products from scratch.

About the team

This team is building a unified platform that will serve thousands of users supporting millions of sellers globally. Our goal is to create a seamless global shopping experience for all Amazon Customers and Sellers worldwide.

This is a highly distributed team working collaboratively on a system that consolidates comprehensive requirements into a single, intelligent workbench. The team is organized around core business verticals with an Orchestration Layer creating dynamic workflows for intelligent automation.

You'll work alongside SDEs, Data Engineers, platform developers, and Applied Scientists who are pioneering AI-first development approaches and achieving measurable productivity gains.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
