Job summary

State Street invites a strategic, hands-on VP to design and deliver an enterprise Generative AI platform across AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Foundry, and Databricks. You will set technical direction, author production-grade constructs, and mentor senior engineers while enabling data scientists and application teams to ship Gen AI at scale.

You will lead architecture, governance, and cost management for a multi-cloud AI stack, define secure usage patterns, and partner across Data, MLOps, Security,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Engineering, or IT.
• 10+ years in platform/cloud/SRE engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on AWS and Azure with Bedrock, Azure OpenAI/Foundry, Databricks depth.
• 3+ years in technical leadership or people management.
• Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise Bedrock strategy: governance, throughput, cross-region inference.
• Operationalize Knowledge Bases, Agents, Guardrails, Flows, and Model Evaluation.
• Lead multi-model lifecycle across Claude, Nova/Titan, Llama, Mistral, Cohere.
• Design RAG on Bedrock with OpenSearch Serverless, pgvector, Kendra.
• Architect W/ Databricks strategy: Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, GPU pools.
• Own Harness pipelines and CDK/TF/Bicep templates for multi-cloud infra.
• Provide secure-by-default golden paths and cost controls.
• Lead and mentor senior engineers; partner with Data, MLOps, Security.
