Job summary

Bank of America is building a GenAI platform to derive insights from data, collaborating with Global Markets Sales & Trading, QSDG and Platform teams. You will lead data engineering for sourcing and classifying large data sets to support GenAI requirements, designing scalable pipelines for high performance.

The role focuses on building and guiding the data platform, with emphasis on multi-tier microservices, big data processing, and cloud-native practices within an on-site NY office.

Qualifications

• Experience designing multi-tier (microservices) platforms (FastAPI)
• Extensive experience with high performance Pub/Sub (Kafka)
• Distributed systems experience with Redis, Kubernetes, Docker
• Strong coding in Python
• Relational and NoSQL DB experience (Oracle/MySQL, MongoDB)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with GenAI/data platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
• Adheres to enterprise design, coding and quality standards
• Ensures delivery meets acceptance criteria with minimal tech debt
• Partners with Product Owner to maintain healthy backlog with clear criteria
• Mentors team and guides engineering practices
• Leads planning/estimation and code reviews
• Drives end-to-end SDLC automation to improve efficiency
• Delivers scalable, high-performance data platform components
