Job summary

Dell Technologies seeks a GenAI & HPC Delivery Engineer to join the Service Delivery Team in Chicago, IL. You will build, deploy, and optimize GPU-accelerated clusters for AI and HPC, benchmark performance, and troubleshoot hardware/network issues in collaboration with customers.

Travel up to 70% across the U.S. is required. Strong Linux, HPC, and GPU expertise with BCM and container orchestration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with HPC or GenAI clusters, GPU-based systems, AI infrastructure, or related technical environments.
• Hands-on experience with GPU deployment, system configuration, and multi-node testing using NVIDIA Base Command Manager (BCM).
• Practical experience executing cluster benchmarking tools: HPL, STREAM, NCCL, RCCL, MxP, and OSU Microbenchmarks.
• RHCSA certification (or 5+ years of Enterprise Linux administration: RHEL/Rocky/Ubuntu).
• Solid understanding of high-speed GenAI/HPC fabrics and networking (InfiniBand and/or RoCE).
• Hands-on experience with containerization and workload orchestration platforms (Docker, Singularity/Apptainer, Slurm, or Kubernetes).
• Excellent technical troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to travel up to 70% of the time across the U.S. as needed for deployment projects.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and validate GPU-accelerated compute clusters for AI, ML, and HPC.
• Perform multi-node testing and benchmarking with HPL, MxP, STREAM, NCCL, RCCL, and OSU Microbenchmarks.
• Validate GPU interconnects and fabric health; troubleshoot issues and coordinate remediation with support teams.
• Configure, harden, and optimize Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, Rocky).
• Produce detailed as-built documentation and performance verification reports.
• Work directly with enterprise customers onsite across the U.S.
