Job summary

Zions Bancorporation's Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO) team seeks a Manager of AI Engineering & Generative AI Development to build, lead, and mentor a team of AI engineers in a regulated financial environment.

This role guides GenAI and AI engineering delivery, partnering with Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and business leaders to deploy secure, scalable AI solutions that drive measurable business value. On-site, Midvale, UT campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/SE/IT or related tech.
• 8+ years in software engineering, architecture, and systems development.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with containers and GitHub.
• Familiar with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph.
• 3+ years in a leadership or team-lead role preferred.
• Hands-on AI engineering with LLMs and GenAI orchestration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing AI engineering team.
• Oversee end-to-end GenAI and AI engineering delivery with secure, scalable architecture.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and business partners.
• Provide architectural and technical direction and stay current with GenAI trends.
