Job summary

Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, seeks an AI Engineer to support the CDC with AI-enabled web applications using modern generative AI techniques. You will design retrieval-based knowledge assistants, chatbots, and agentic workflows behind intuitive UIs.

Hybrid onsite work in Atlanta, GA. Must have 5+ years in software/AI, Python/API experience, and US citizenship or lawful permanent residency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in software engineering or data/AI.
• 1+ years building generative AI or agentic AI solutions with LLMs, prompts, tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver AI-enabled web applications for high-impact client challenges.
• Develop AI apps using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Foundry Agent Service.
• Build RAG systems, knowledge assistants, chatbots, and agentic workflows.
• Implement agent/LLM workflows with tools, structured outputs, guardrails, and human review.
• Integrate AI apps with APIs, data sources, cloud services, and MCP-based tools.
• Develop secure, cloud-native services and UIs using Python, web frameworks, containers, and Azure.
