Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan is seeking a senior GenAI and Cloud engineer to own the technical direction of our Generative AI layer. You will operate with autonomy, solving ambiguous engineering challenges and building end-to-end infrastructure for agentic AI systems.

You will design GenAI workflows with LangChain/LangGraph, deploy on GCP/Vertex AI, ensure safety, and craft scalable frontends with React/TypeScript. This hybrid role requires onsite presence four days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years building full-stack production apps (JS/TS, React, HTML) including 2+ years delivering production React UIs.
• 2+ years designing agentic AI workflows with LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK and MCP.
• Experience in AI evaluation and agent/prompt observability (RAGEval, LangSmith/Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, agent trajectories).
• 2+ years deploying cloud-native apps with GCP and Generative AI (Vertex AI) (Hard Requirement).

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy agentic GenAI workflows using MCP integrations.
• Deploy and operate AI solutions on GCP and Vertex AI.
• Own LLM evaluation, prompt observability, and guardrails for safety.
• Design and ship responsive React/TypeScript UIs for engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and establish reusable AI tooling patterns.
