Job summary

Nationwide Insurance is seeking GenAI Interns to join the Enterprise Analytics Office (EAO) for a May to August 2027 internship in Columbus, Ohio. You’ll support data scientists in applying LLMs, AI agents, and agentic workflows to drive innovation and efficiency across the insurance value chain.

Graduate candidates from related majors are welcome; strong Python and ML library experience is preferred, with exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and MLOps considered a major plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs, AI agents, and agentic systems
• Experience with NLP, deep learning, and generative modeling techniques
• Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
• Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps best practices
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, Scikit-learn)
• Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD for ML pipelines a major plus

Responsibilities

• Work with data scientists to apply GenAI techniques.
• Help develop end-to-end AI solutions across the insurance value chain.
• Contribute to model validation and reproducible experiments.
