Job summary

Nationwide Insurance is seeking Analytic Consulting Advisor Interns to join the Enterprise Analytics Office in Columbus, Ohio from May to August 2027. You will collaborate with business leaders and EAO teammates to design and implement advanced analytics solutions, including AI, ML, and statistical modeling.

This hands-on internship embeds you in a project team, with mentorship from an intern manager, and exposure to tools like Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and AWS SageMaker.

Qualifications

• Analytic, data, or technology-focused academic projects, internships, or coursework.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Excel, statistics, ML, or data visualization.
• Interest in AI/GenAI and communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Exposure to insurance or financial services is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Define business needs, goals, and success measures with stakeholders.
• Translate objectives into analytic questions, scopes, and approaches.
• Support project planning, risk management, and follow-up.
• Apply analytics, modeling, AI/GenAI, experimentation, and visualization to business problems.
• Translate outputs into clear recommendations and decision materials.

• Support analytic product lifecycle and solution adoption.
