Nationwide Insurance is seeking an Analytic Consulting Advisor Intern to join the Enterprise Analytics Office in Columbus, Ohio, from May to August 2027. You will work with Nationwide business leaders and EAO associates to design and advanced analytics solutions, translating business questions into analytic objectives and helping evaluate potential solutions.

This hands-on learning opportunity places you on a project team and supported by an intern manager, with exposure to Python, R, SQL,

Qualifications

• Analytics, data, business, project work or technology experience.
• Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Excel, statistics or ML.
• Interest in AI/GenAI and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Exposure to insurance or financial services is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define needs, goals and success measures.
• Translate objectives into analytic questions and project scopes.
• Support project planning, meetings, risk management and follow-up.
• Apply analytics, modeling, AI/GenAI and visualization to problems.
• Interpret outputs to deliver clear recommendations and materials.
• Create communications for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Support solution adoption and understand the analytic lifecycle.
• Demonstrate curiosity, professionalism and willingness to learn.
