Job summary

Nationwide is seeking GenAI Interns to join the Enterprise Analytics Office in Columbus, Ohio, for May–August 2027. You will work on applying LLMs, AI agents, and agentic workflows to drive innovation across the insurance value chain.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with NLP, deep learning, vector databases, cloud platforms, and MLOps. Graduate candidates will be considered; some statistical/technical background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, and agentic systems.
• Experience with NLP, deep learning, and generative modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps best practices.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD for ML pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Apply GenAI techniques to drive innovation and operational efficiency across the insurance value chain.
• Collaborate with business partners and Enterprise Analytics Office to build end-to-end ML solutions.
