Unum is seeking an AVP, GenAI & Agentic Data Science to lead a team of Data Scientists and GenAI Engineers in building, deploying, and scaling GenAI and agentic solutions across the enterprise.

The role requires turning GenAI from experimental into production-scale deployments, with strong foundations in Data Science and ML. You will guide AI strategy, governance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Background in CS/Math/Data Science/Operational Research.
• 10+ years designing and building scaled AI/ML products/capabilities.
• Proven experience deploying agentic AI systems into production at scale.
• Expertise in production agent architectures and multi-agent systems.
• Deep knowledge of GenAI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive strategic AI-based products focusing on GenAI and Agentic AI.
• Influence executives on AI strategies and investments.
• Lead Data Scientists and GenAI Engineers across Finance, Marketing, Operations.
• Democratize AI across the enterprise.
• Identify high-value GenAI opportunities and scale solutions.
