Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise applications with significant hands‑on AI/ML or LLM production work and team leadership.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, APIs, microservices, event‑driven architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands‑on experience building AI/ML solutions with Generative AI, LLMs, agentic AI, RAG, and tool‑calling architectures; strong Python skills and prompt engineering.
• Experience with LangGraph and/or equivalent agent orchestration frameworks, including stateful workflows and multi‑agent patterns.
• Experience building cloud‑native AI solutions on GCP (BigQuery, Databricks).
• Strong experience integrating applications with enterprise APIs, transactional systems, and legacy platforms.
• Experience with enterprise security patterns (identity, authentication, authorization, service identity, secrets).
• Experience with production observability, distributed tracing, resiliency, and MLOps/LLMOps.
• Ability to develop prototypes and reference implementations to validate architectural decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end AI/ML engineering across frontend, backend, AI/agent layers, orchestration, integrations, data, and cloud services; mentor a team of AI/ML and software engineers.
• Define scalable, reusable architecture patterns supporting multiple business capabilities, personas, and workflows.
• Determine appropriate use of deterministic workflows, APIs, rules, AI agents, and hybrid approaches for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Architect stateful and long‑running workflows with session/context management, retries, idempotency, human‑in‑the‑loop interactions, and recovery patterns.
• Design/build agentic solutions using LangGraph, LangChain, RAG, APIs, MCP, and orchestration patterns including semantic routing and cross‑domain multi‑agent orchestration.
• Deliver domain AI agents for payroll, benefits, labor contracts, financial planning, and related areas; model scenarios and reduce spreadsheet reliance.
• Define secure multi‑persona architectures with proper authentication, authorization, entitlements, data boundaries, and service identities.
• Architect integrations with enterprise APIs, transactional/legacy systems, SaaS platforms, and data services via REST, API gateways, MCP, messaging, and events.
• Define data/semantic retrieval/knowledge patterns with relational, graph, vector, and search tech; ground agent responses in governed data.
• Define non‑functional requirements for scalability, availability, performance, resiliency, security, and cost efficiency.
• Design cloud‑native architectures on GCP (Vertex AI, GKE, Cloud Run, AlloyDB, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Eventarc).
• Establish AI observability patterns, distributed tracing, LLM evaluation, and production readiness; lead ADRs and reusable patterns.
• Lead engineering teams through hands‑on implementation and code reviews; guide CI/CD, IaC, containerization, and DevSecOps.
