Job summary

Raytheon Sensors: Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II [Embedded / Radar] to join the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar product team.

You will develop real-time embedded software across radar modes, contribute to all phases of the SW lifecycle, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience.
• Development experience coding in C, C++, ADA or related languages/tools across the SDLC.
• Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions with minimal guidance.
• Contribute at all phases of the software development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Develop RT embedded software for radar modes and capabilities.

Sensors: Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development team for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.

What you will do

• Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions, with minimal guidance.
• Contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration
• Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.
• Utilize investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
• Work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external
• Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews
• Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
• Help to ensure performance to technical, cost, schedule, quality.
• Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.

Work Location

Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus

Must be able to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.

Qualifications you must have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant software development experience.
• Development experience coding in C, C++, ADA or related languages/tools across phases of Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks, Green Hills or other Real Time Operating Systems.
• Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Current Top Secret Clearance
• Experience developing Radar Software applications
• Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
• Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
• Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

Relocation Eligibility for qualified candidates

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
