Job summary

RTX's Sensors: Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA seeks a Software Engineer II (Embedded / Radar) to join the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar product team. You will contribute across the SW lifecycle, develop RT embedded software for radar modes, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams onsite at the El Segundo campus.

The role requires 2+ years in embedded development, C/C++, and experience with RTOSs; U.S. citizenship and interim/secret clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in embedded software development.
  • Development experience coding in C, C++, ADA or related languages/tools across phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks, Green Hills or other Real Time Operating Systems.
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain Security clearances.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.

Sensors: Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development team for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.

What you will do:

Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo, CA Campus

Qualifications you must have:
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in embedded software development

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance
  • Proven ability to obtain a Special Access Clearance (SAP)
  • Experience developing Radar Software applications
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
  • Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

  • Salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD.
